This is where you should answer the most common questions prospective customers might have. Check out the examples below.

Is it painful?

2 types of numbing cream are used making the procedure very comfortable for most people.
For eyebrows procedures, most people either do not feel anything at all or say it feels like the brows are being tweezed.
Eyeliner procedures can be surprisingly relaxing as most people do not feel anything at all and some even fall asleep during the procedure.
Lips can be a bit more tender as there are many blood vessels and nerve endings located on or near the lips but most people tolerate lip procedures just fine.
Hairline microblading isn't totally pain free, some clients report that it feels similar to a rubber band snapping onto the skin. Post procedure you may also experience mild peeling of the treated area but by and large the results are considered immediate and side effects are minimal.

How long does the appointment take?

Procedures range from 45 minutes to 2+ hours depending on the area being treated. On average, appointments for brows or eyeliner is 2 hours which includes filling out paperwork, allowing the numbing cream to take effect, discussing the design, shape, etc. and performing the procedure.

What is the recovery process like?

Post procedure, you will be provided ointment to apply to the area for the next 3 days.
For procedures performed on the brows, you can expect slight redness around the area worked on for a few hours.
For procedures performed on the eyelids, lips and hairline, you can also expect slight swelling around the area worked on for 24 hours.
Swimming, steam rooms (sauna) and direct sunlight need to be avoided for the first 4 days following any procedure.
During the first week following any procedure, the pigmentation (color) may appear a shade or two darker than what it will look like once the area is fully healed.
During the healing process, some people may also experience slight flaking or peeling of the procedure surface area.
A touch-up procedure is performed 1-2 months after the original procedure is performed to smooth out any color that may have faded during the healing process.

How long does my cosmetic tattoo last?

Semi-permanent makeup is sometimes a bit of a misnomer as it does fade over time. The rate at which any semi-permanent makeup fades differs for each individual and is dependent upon skin type, metabolism, life style and how well a person takes care of the area where the procedure was performed. Most people elect to touch-up the color every 12-18 months (1 year-1 1/2 years).

Disclaimer:

There are a number of variables that influence the outcome of any semi-permanent makeup procedure. As noted above, an individual's skin type, metabolism, life style and how well a person takes care of the area where the procedure was performed all play a key role on how well tattoo color/pigmentation is retained. Furthermore, an individual's facial bone structure and/or muscle structure influence tattoo shaping results. Because these variables are out of my control, multiple "touch-up" sessions may be required to acquire optimal results.
